What is VanCAF?

The Vancouver Comic Arts Festival is comprised of comics-related events, including readings, presentations, panel discussions, and a large exhibition area featuring publishers and comic authors and artists.

How much does it cost to go?

VanCAF is free to attend!

So this is in Vancouver, CANADA then?

Yes! VanCAF is held in Vancouver, British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada. The event is held in the Yaletown district, in close proximity to restaurants, shops, and waterfront parks.

We want to take this opportunity to acknowledge that our event will take place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded Indigenous territories of the ʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations.

Unceded means that this land was never surrendered, relinquished or handed over in any way.

As guests on this Land, we are thankful and consider it a privilege to be able to be here.

Does the festival have a code of conduct, or harassment policy?

Yes – please visit our Code of Conduct page.

How can I help? Can I volunteer or something?

Totally! Every year, VanCAF needs about 100 enthusiastic volunteers to make VanCAF happen and you could be one of them… We ask anyone interested in volunteering for VanCAF to fill out our Volunteer Application Form when it goes live.
