Thecoalcinder traveled from the east to the west alone when they were 16 in order to pursue a vague dream of becoming an artist, but never really figured out in which specific field they wanted to specialize. So far, they have had a lot of fun with painting, sculpting, printmaking, and creating both traditional and digital illustrations, all of which focus on exploring perspectives and colors. However, the most important thing thecoalcinder has realized through this journey is that their passion for visual storytelling—the childhood dream of creating graphic novels that was once considered ‘too childish’—is still alive and vivid.
